The train station of la Spezia Centrale is excellently connected to the rest of the peninsula, and all trains stop at the station.

From the station it is a 15-minute walk to the Civic Theater or a 10-minute ride using bus numbers 13, 3 or S.

La Spezia is easily reached by car by exiting at the La Spezia-Santo Stefano Magra highway exit on the A12-A15. Keep left after the exit continuing on the freeway to La Spezia, about 10 km away.
The entrance to the city is on Via Carducci.

The nearest airports to La Spezia are in Pisa, about 85 km away, or Genoa airport, about 110 km away, an hour and a half drive along the A12 Genoa-Livorno highway.

The city is served by a bus network operated by ATC. Tickets can be purchased on board the buses or at authorized retail outlets.
